Posted May 14, 2020

The Canadian Society of Landscape Architects (CSLA) has honoured The Meadoway with a 2020 National Award of Excellence for Planning and Analysis.

Toronto and Region Conservation Authority (TRCA) partnered with Perkins and Will and Future Landscapes Design to create a digital resource to immerse the audience in the future Meadoway. The result of this collaboration was the innovative visualization toolkit.

Each year, CSLA acknowledges projects that demonstrate leadership in the area of sustainability, conservation, and recreation: “These award-winning projects are preeminent examples of Canadian landscape architecture”.

The Meadoway visualization toolkit was a year in the making, with substantial input provided by the public at a series of immersive events.

The outcome was a high-tech digital package full of animations, augmented reality, sophisticated renderings, videos, and more.

The winners of the 2020 CSLA Awards of Excellence were selected by a national jury of landscape architects.
